“Eager Beaver is the model that adds more life and fun to smaller, sloppier conditions. Its based off boards I’ve been riding in California and Brazil and features deep single concave into slight vee off the tail giving you more zing and the ability to change up your lines. I ride 5’11 x 18 3/4 x 2 ¼.” Mick Fanning
Every surfer needs that board for when the surf starts to lose its power and isn’t throwing top to bottom. For the pro surfers, the challenge is designing a board for those conditions that still allows them to perform at their optimum when the surf is bad. Mick and I have been refining this part of the quiver for a few years and it is really spot on at the moment. It all started with the Coffee Bean and we just keep getting it more and more in sync with his surfing and the rest of his quiver. The design combination focuses on a little more volume, a little more width and less rocker through the tail. Adding a little tail vee through the tail behind the fins allows for that quick release and quick rail to rail transitions. So when the wave isn’t giving Mick the push and performance he wants he can create it himself.
